The San Carlos Sister Cities Association (SCSCA) has had the great pleasure of learning, engaging and sharing with these previous cities Sister Cities.
Maroondah, Australia – The city government or Maroondah started a freon recycling program after seeing one in action in San Carlos. For more information about Maroondah, Australia, see:
San Carlos, Rio San Juan, Nicaragua – The SCSCA donated computer equipment and provided funds for a satellite connection for that town’s first Internet Cafe. SCSCA also provided uniforms and shoes to two boys’ soccer teams. For more information about San Carlos, Nicaragua, see:

Okotoks, Alberta, Canada – The SCSCA, in collaboration with the San Carlos Arts and Culuture Commission, and the Okotoks Sister Cities Organization, held an art exchange. Current Sister Cities
The SCSCA is currently nurturing and developing cultural exchanges and Sister City relationships with Omura, Japan, and Metepec, Mexico. To date, delegations from San Carlos have visited Omura and Metepec, with reciprocating visits from these communities to San Carlos. This is an exciting time to be involved with the SCSCA!
